
DC Comics wasn’t just offering advice in illustrated form, oh no. The romance line often sported text pages where readers were warned of the dangers of modern dating, or, like this one, treated to a masterclass on the art of kissing. There were even proper agony aunt-style columns where those distraught, newly boyfriend-less young ladies who had written in found comfort in the knowledge that other girls were going through far, far worse.

I shall try to do better, sir. Trouble is, I scan this stuff months before I post it, and forget where I got it. This was from an issue of Young Romance, around mid-1971. It’s a Dorothy Woolfolk edited piece I think, so it may be her that wrote it.
